Twisted-Wonderland Spring Exchange Letter
Hello fellow Twisted-Wonderland writer,
I hope you're as excited for this exchange as I am! I've been playing both the English and Japanese games since launch, and I'm caught up on all of the events, but not on the Ignihyde/Disamonia chapters of the main story. I'm happy to receive fic of any rating, but for this exchange I'd prefer not to receive something that's entirely PWP.
Rook and Vil are some of my favorite characters in the game, and I especially love them interacting with characters from other dorms (especially Octavinelle). Ever since I read the card story of Vil going to Azul to restock his beauty care supplies (eel slime harvesting!), I've loved the dynamics between the two dorms. I also love how extra both dorm heads and their vice-dorm heads are, and how protective the vice-heads are of their respective heads. I also love Rook's desire to hunt prey, especially when that prey is a mer-eel. For Vil and Jack, I like the idea of Jack being one of the few people who doesn't expect too much from Vil and their morning runs being an enjoyable casual time for them both.
Rook wants to make sure that Vil's every need is met. Does Vil appreciate that, or does he find it annoying/overbearing? Rook is used to being the hunter/observer, so what's it like for him knowing that Vil is taking notes on everything he does? What does a workout/sparring session between them look like?
A set of characters who are incredibly protective of their respective dorm heads. What happens if they feel someone from the other's dorm is threatening their own dorm head? What if they team up against an outside threat? Since Rook loves hunting, what if he decided he wants to have some fun hunting a mer-eel (or needs to refill Vil's special mer-eel slime face serum)?
Floyd is a chaos gremlin who enjoys causing problems on purpose, and Vil is a lot stronger and quicker on his feet than people assume. Does Floyd ever convince Vil to have a sparring match with him? Does Floyd try to sell Vil on some sort of ridiculous plan/product just to see what happens? Does Vil ever get tired of going through Azul to get more face serum and decide to cut out the middleman and harvest the mer-eel slime himself? Some of my favorite interactions for these two come from the Beans Day event when Floyd is constantly awed by Vil's strength/agility (and Vil is one of the few people who can wrangle Floyd).
Jack isn't awed by Fashion Model Vil and doesn't have incredibly high expectations for him, which has to be something of a relief to Vil given the pressure he's under everywhere else in his life. I love their morning runs together as a chance for Vil to enjoy some casual conversation or (companionable silence). Has Jack ever invited Vil to go skiing/snowboarding with him? Has Vil ever tried teaching Jack kickboxing? What happens when another incident happens at NRC and they have to work together to fix/defeat it?
I love the Octavinelle trio in general and would be happy with any combination of the three of them you want to write. Azul works very hard to always be in control, and the eels can either help or undermine the situation. What happens when the eels turn the tables on him? What about when Azul needs a sensitive task handled and can't trust anyone else with it? What about when Floyd decides to cause problems on purpose? If you enjoy AUs, these characters seem to lend themselves well to mafia AUs and similar.
Sticking closer to canon, I also love fic that explore what it's like for all three of them coming onto land, whether that's Floyd's love of interesting/bold fashion, Azul's challenges coordinating human limbs, or Jade's fascination with mushrooms.
As the faculty expert on discipline and etiquette, Crewel feels like he'd be likely to cross paths with Riddle. Is Crewel helping Riddle wrangle a bunch of clueless NRC students into shape, or is Riddle getting extra lessons on more advanced topics? Is it some form of remedial study after his Overblot? Special tutoring on how to strut commandingly in heels once he becomes dorm head? If you want to take this a slightly darker or NSFW direction, I'd also be happy with anything going in the direction of Crewel's frequent references to dog training and threats of discipline.
I love the events where we see the two of them working together to get everyone into fashion show/formal ball-ready shape. We've also seen that Vil generally respects/appreciates Crewel's taste in fashion (especially when the alternative is whatever Vargas would come up with). What is it like for the two of them working together to get a bunch of unpolished students ready for whatever the newest short-notice event is? Do they talk about fashion/makeup trends and design ideas together even when they don't have an official mission? Do they ever disagree about what looks best? Does Vil ever find himself in private tutoring/training sessions with Crewel (either at Vil's request or Crewel's order)?
I can think of two different ways to end up here. The first is Vil deciding Epel needs an intensive course in Pomefiore comportment, and Crewel is the best person for the job (maybe Vil is away for a few days on a trip?). The other is Crewel being impressed by Epel's potion-making and botany skills and giving him some form of extra tutoring/independent study (especially after he hears Epel's reason for attending Night Raven College). I also feel like Crewel might enjoy Epel's more aggressive/less-polished personality when it slips out.
Trein has grown on me a lot recently, especially after we saw more of him in the recent Masquerade event. I'd love to see what happens when Crewel is tasked with catsitting for Lucius. Alternately, how does Trein handle one of his old students coming back as a faculty member? How does Trein's more traditional/conservative personality mesh with *waves hands at everything that Crewel is*?

Rook Hunt/Vil Schoenheit

Rook is used to being the hunter/observer, so what's it like for him knowing that Vil is taking notes on everything he does? What does a workout/sparring session between them look like?
Rook Hunt/Jade Leech; Rook Hunt/Floyd Leech
A set of characters who are incredibly protective of their respective dorm heads. What happens if they feel someone from the other's dorm is threatening their own dorm head? What if they team up against an outside threat? Since Rook loves hunting, what if he decided he wants to have some fun hunting a mer-eel (or needs to refill Vil's special mer-eel slime face serum)?

Crewel Ships
Divus Crewel/Riddle Rosehearts
